Summary
JOB DESCRIPTION: ACCOUNTING & FINANCE STUDENT
We consider students with technical competence as well as their ability to work as team members within their assigned department. Training is on-the-job with experienced supervision and support. Assignments vary within the department and commonly incorporate some entry-level work with guidance given for first-time experiences. Future work assignments increase in responsibility, complexity, and challenge. The work schedule is part-time with flexible hours to accommodate the student’s academic schedule during the school year. Incumbents are expected to work a minimum of 20 hours per week. A potential for full-time employment also exists during periods when classes are not in session.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
· Recording Payroll JE
· Recording Payroll Accrual JE
· Recording ADP bank transactions JE
· Benefits Accrual JE
· Recording 401K bank/payroll transactions
· Assist with other month end journal entries and process
Key Requirements

Under the direction of a designated supervisor or other finance staff member, the student will perform a variety of assignments in the areas of product costing and analysis, general ledger reconciliation, financial statement analysis, financial planning and analysis and fixed assets. The student will be exposed to modern analytical techniques in a hands-on environment working on projects that are business driven.

COMPENSATION
Salaries for students are based on the student’s academic year (junior/senior). Pay during each academic year is based on a percentage of the starting salary for an entry-level Accountant. Pay is reviewed each time the academic year changes.
